Choosing the best technology

Additive manufacturing and 3D printing have become umbrella terms for several different technologies that produce parts with various materials and properties. A moving spare part that needs to sustain high temperatures and work in a corrosive environment will have to be manufactured with a completely different technology than, for example, a 3D printed retainer for use in orthodontics.

Some decisions might be simple to make at first glance but choosing the best and most efficient technology for your use case may be a lot more complex, depending on what you are trying to achieve; you may be looking to produce parts with special properties, reduce maintenance cost on a production line, 3D print small series of end products, or it may be a combination of all of the above.

Parts can be successfully manufactured on multiple technologies, however, choosing the ideal technology is often challenging. Contact our experts and let them help you set up an AM environment your company needs.
